The Tutor Doctor Omaha West team is led by award-winning local educators with over 70 years of combined experience. We’re thrilled to continue serving youth and families across Nebraska through Tutor Doctor’s at-home, personalized, one-on-one learning model.

Meet the Owner: Jon Burt
I’m proud to be a lifelong Nebraskan. My ancestors were homesteaders and helped found the town of Bertrand in the south-central region of the state. I grew up in Lincoln with my parents and five brothers, and after attending undergrad and grad school out of state, I anxiously returned home to raise my family with the Midwestern values I admire and to give back to the community as a teacher, varsity coach, school leader, and non-profit executive.
I am passionate about meeting every student’s unique opportunities and needs, whether they are working to improve their fundamental building blocks of learning, advance their organization and executive skills, or extend their learning to the greatest heights.
I passionately believe that every student can maximize their academic potential, and I have a proven track record of improving individual, class and school academic outcomes over 20+ years in education.
