Dungeons & Dragons Camp

Unlock a world of imagination, strategy, and fun this Summer! Our Dungeons & Dragons camp offers an unforgettable journey into the realms of creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. Secure your child’s spot in this epic adventure where heroes are made, and legends begin.

Camp Objectives:

Details:

  • Where: Frisco YMCA (3415 W Main St)
  • Dates: June 10-14 10 AM – 2 PM
  • Cost: $150/person
  • Ages: 11-14 (6th-8th grades)
  • Each participant will receive the tools for camp; a notebook, pen, and dice.

Algebra 1

In this 8-day camp, students will learn basic algebraic skills: linear relationships, number and operations, and proportionality. Students will study linear, quadratic, and exponential functions and their related transformations, equations, and associated solutions. Students will connect functions and their associated solutions in both mathematical and real-world situations. This camp will pre-teach concepts students will learn in their 1st quarter of Algebra I.

Algebra 2

In this 8-day camp, students will broaden their knowledge of quadratic functions, exponential functions, and systems of equations. This camp will pre-teach concepts students will learn in their 1st quarter of Algebra II.

Geometry

In this 8-day camp, students will build on their knowledge and skills for mathematics through Algebra I to strengthen their mathematical reasoning skills in geometric contexts. Students will explore concepts covering coordinate and transformational geometry; logical argument and constructions; proof and congruence. Students will also learn definitions, postulates, and theorems that help describe geometric relationships. This camp will pre-teach concepts students will learn in their 1st quarter of Geometry.
