As such, our tutors tailor their teaching styles to cater to the meet the student at the point of their need. They have demonstrated that they understand that learning is not a “one size fits all” and has incorporated different learning techniques that are able to transform knowledge into learning for their students. Our Supertutors go above and beyond and also help students with their executive functioning skills like critical thinking, planning, organization, prioritizing and task initiation.

Meet Andrea she has excelled as a reading and math tutor for elementary students in El Paso. She knows the strong and positive impact tutoring has on students since she personally had a tutor as a child.
“Hi! I am Andrea and I am currently a Senior Studying Engineering Leadership and an Emphasis on Entrepreneurship at UTEP! I have currently accepted a position with BNSF Railway in their engineering department to work with the track maintenance team after I graduate! Being a tutor has been such a wonderful learning experience, I love getting to know the students as well as helping them through the challenges they endure when it comes to learning subjects that are sometimes difficult. Sometimes a little push and a whole lot of practice go a long way! As a child, I struggled a lot when it came to certain subjects, and it was hard for me to find the materials and resources to succeed. Until one day I had a tutor that helped me find my way when it came to academics and I excelled, having that really changed my outlook on academics.”

I am a senior in college and aiming for a degree in 4-8th Math and Science teacher with an ESL certification. Although I have always known I wanted to be a math teacher, I tried testing out more career paths within the mathematics field and have earned an associate degree in Civil Engineering. Thanks to the tutoring I have been able to interact with different students and their different grade levels, and I know I have made the right decision in choosing the grade level I want to teach for the rest of my career. I have tutored a wide range of high schoolers and some younger students in all math and science courses.
