All instruction is provided through one-to-one tutoring, either in your home or at a flexible location such as a local library. Our goal is to help students build a strong foundation for reading while also developing confidence and a positive relationship with learning.

Our Approach

Each student begins the program with a comprehensive diagnostic reading assessment that provides a detailed picture of their reading profile, including strengths, areas for growth, and the skills that should be prioritized. Using this information, the tutor creates a customized tutoring plan tailored to the individual child and thoughtfully scaffolds instruction over time.

Our tutors are experienced in teaching early reading and understand how to make learning both effective and enjoyable. Lessons are purposefully scaffolded based on student needs, built around evidence-based reading practices, and designed to be engaging, encouraging, and age-appropriate. Tutors provide customized, engaging learning activities aligned with each student’s reading profile, helping students build confidence, experience success, and develop a positive relationship with reading.
📈Ongoing Progress Monitoring
As students move through the program, tutors continue to use the same reading assessment program introduced at the start of enrollment through regular, targeted progress checks. These assessment-based check-ins allow tutors to track growth, identify emerging strengths, and guide instruction as skills develop. Parents gain clear insight into how reading skills are progressing over time.

Tutors provide session reports after every tutoring session. Reports can be shared with classroom teachers, and we welcome collaboration with teachers and regular parent check-ins.
