What to Expect on the GED

Developed in 1942 by the American Council of Education (ACE), the GED exam is a test that aims to measure High School equivalency over a battery of individual subject tests. This exam varies in the United States from state to state, and is especially unique in the state of California. For GED test-takers who reside in California, the test will have a fee of $150 and will test equivalency over 5 subject areas. Structurally, the test is composed of 5 different sections, which are Mathematics, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. Throughout these five subject tests, California’s policy governs that a score out of 800 points be individually awarded to each one, so that the test recipient can just choose their weakest subject areas in the event that a retake is necessary. The tutors we work with are experienced in California’s specific policies regarding GED exam administration, and are prepared to help you conquer this test using individualized lesson plans and cutting-edge test preparation technology.
