Jane Wright
Tutor
With a Bachelor’s in Education from Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD, and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, I’ve dedicated my career to teaching. I began in 1971 in South Dakota, later moving to Florida, where I taught for 3.5 years. In 1975, I relocated to Washington and spent 34 rewarding years teaching in the Mead School District, working with students in high school, alternative programs, and the parent partnership program.
I joined Tutor Doctor to reconnect with students and continue my passion for education. My tutoring approach focuses on identifying each student’s needs and fostering growth through encouragement, praise, and challenge.
Outside of tutoring, I love traveling, reading, gardening, and sewing for Dress-a-Girl, an international charity. Fun fact: I share my home with two schnauzers—a miniature and a standard, both males.
Ramya Iyer
Tutor
I specialize in Math tutoring, working with middle and high school students. With over 8 years of teaching experience and 10 years in education, I’m dedicated to helping students not only improve their math skills but also build their confidence in the subject. My passion for education drives me to stay current, and tutoring offers the perfect opportunity for me to keep learning and growing as both a teacher and a mentor.
When tutoring, I take the time to understand each student’s academic background and customize my approach to fit their individual needs. I believe that personalizing lessons ensures students receive the support they need to thrive. Watching students grasp new concepts and make progress is what I enjoy most about tutoring—it’s the most rewarding part of the process.
I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics and have earned a certification in applying KU strategies in teaching, which has been invaluable in refining my teaching methods.
In my free time, I love listening to music and dancing—it’s a fun way for me to relax and recharge!
Angela Hart
Tutor
My passion is helping junior high students, a group I feel is often overlooked. Working with them brings me immense fulfillment, knowing I can make a difference in their educational journey.
In addition to tutoring, I wear many hats—I’m a mom, a substitute teacher, a softball player, a grant writer, a wedding officiant, and an ambassador with the Chamber of Commerce. I’m deeply committed to supporting our community, believing that goodwill and kindness are essential for fostering growth and connection.
Chloë Burkholder
Tutor
I recently graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, as well as German Studies. As a published scientific author, I bring both scientific and language expertise to my tutoring sessions. I offer tutoring in reading, writing, life sciences, and the German language, and have been tutoring for four years. What I love most about tutoring is helping students reach that “a-ha” moment, when a challenging concept finally clicks for them.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling—I’ve recently explored countries in Europe, South America, and Africa. I also love reading, creating art, and playing tabletop games.
Ariana Madrigal
Tutor
Hi, I’m Ariana, and I’ve been tutoring for the past seven months. I was inspired to become a tutor by my passion for working with children and helping them grow. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with amazing kids, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to build relationships with both them and their families. My favorite part of tutoring is hearing about the kids’ days and getting to know them better with each session.
A fun fact about me is that I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Arizona University.

My teaching philosophy is centered on patience and personalized learning. I believe that discovering your best learning strategies is key to success, and my goal is to guide you toward gaining both confidence and competence in your studies.
