Dr. Kevin Mabie

Owner

Fortunate enough to provide training in schools and organizations around North America, Dr. Kevin Mabie has made himself a student of what enables humans to positively interact with one another. “I am a believer that we can be purposeful in our efforts to support others and that approaching every situation with an open mind allows for the greatest amount of wisdom to present itself,” Dr. Mabie said.

After growing up in Saint Charles County, Dr. Mabie began his teaching career in his hometown, teaching Language Arts and coaching swimming at Fort Zumwalt West High School. He also was the faculty-advisor of the student newspaper. After teaching for 12 years, Dr. Mabie transitioned to work as a school principal and he got his start in O’Fallon at Saint Dominic High School. There he was an assistant principal, and he then became a head principal at Saint Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington, Missouri. Dr. Mabie believes his work at these schools “tutored” him into having an ability to serve families and to reach students where they are in their learning processes. Opening a Tutor Doctor franchise in Saint Peter’s allows him to give back to the community that has given him so much along the way. “My work with Tutor Doctor gives me the opportunity to serve my community utilizing the wisdom I’ve collected from the amazing people I’ve worked with,” Dr. Mabie said. “We are excited to transform lives utilizing a tutoring process that encourages genuine connection with each student we serve.”

Aside from his work to connect local families with high-quality tutors, Dr. Mabie continues to serve schools around North America. He is a Global Professional Instructor for the Crisis Prevention Institute, an organization that provides training in providing a supportive approach to individuals in every face-to-face interaction. He also serves as a National Facilitator of Critical Friends Group trainings, a training that teaches professionals to interact collaboratively and efficiently. Both of these organizations also design their trainings to amplify all voices in the room, assuring equity and inclusion. Lastly, Dr. Mabie also partners with Top 20 Trainings, an organization committed to inspiring teachers and engaging students.
