With over seven years of experience as a teacher in the public education system, Taylor Dark saw firsthand the growing need for additional academic support to help students reach their full potential. During teachers’ college, she had the opportunity to work with Tutor Doctor in her hometown, where the one-on-one, personalized approach to tutoring made a lasting impression. Witnessing the confidence and success it brought to students, Taylor knew that Tutor Doctor offered something truly special.

After becoming a mom, Taylor decided to shift her career focus but never lost her passion for education. Returning to Tutor Doctor provided the perfect opportunity to combine her love for teaching with a flexible role that allows her to make a meaningful impact. Today, she takes great pride in working alongside the community’s talented educators and leading a team of dedicated local tutors who are committed to helping students thrive academically.

Taylor’s background in education extends beyond the classroom. She has worked in various roles supporting youth, from positions at Community Living and Huron House Boys’ Home to teaching in China. Most recently, she stepped into the role of principal at a local private school, a leadership experience that further deepened her commitment to student success. These experiences have given her valuable insight into the challenges students face and how to best support them.

As both an educator and a parent, Taylor understands the struggles families encounter when their child faces academic challenges.
