    Elementary Teacher K-8th

I have been an Elementary Teacher for 10 years now in my home state of Arizona. I have a Bachelors in Business Administration/HR Management and a Masters in Elementary Education. I was awarded Teacher of the Month for October 2020! (Proud of this, because it was during the Pandemic!) I love teaching the younger kids and seeing the tremendous growth from the beginning to the end of the school year. I love teaching reading and have a great understanding of the importance of reading for the younger student.

I am always researching new ideas and strategies to help students achieve their goals. I am very aware of the younger students needing "brain breaks" and added movement during teaching sessions. This has been shown to help with student focus. I also have many strategies to help during testing times too. It is also very important to me to have awesome communication with parents. We are all in this partnership together to help your child succeed. I am always available for questions or concerns.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you! My favorite subjects in school were always history and government, but I'm enthusiastic about learning of all kinds. Pure information is never useful on its own, it must be seen from the light of other subjects and disciplines to reveal its true worth. Helping the next generation develop broad perspective - as well as specialized knowledge - is essential, and I'm glad to be a part of the journey.

I believe every child can be successful!. I have taught swim lessons for several years and learned to be very creative when teaching our littles. I have a gift from God that allows me to quickly bond with children and establish a fun and loving learning environment. My goal is to inspire others to be the best that they can be!

I am student at EMCC and I love math. My tutoring background consists of being an Instructional Assistant for Geometry for 2 years as well as being a swim instructor and creating lesson plans for people to follow on how to teach certain skills. I enjoy tutoring because you get to see the progression of skill development which is rewarding.

I was born, raised and educated in NY. I have my masters in literacy, with a secondary degree in communication. I am special education certified, as well. I have been living in AZ since 2013.

I am currently a special education high school teacher, as well as, an adjunct at EMCC. Formerly, I taught the lower grades of elementary through junior high.

I am the single mother of three sons; two of which received specialized educational services (IEPs) in school and one is on the autism spectrum; so, I have pretty much seen and been through it all!
