Today we’re highlighting our amazing tutor, Mallory Cunningham. We are grateful she’s on the Tutor Doctor team! Her creativity, warm personality, experience and grit have earned her high praise from the parents and students that she serves. Mallory works hard to lead her students to success. She’s passionate and kind and knows how to make learning fun. Thank you, Mallory, for all you do for Tutor Doctor.
"I've been working for Tutor Doctor for about three years now. I got hired upon moving to Redding and the experience has been such a blessing! I love in-home tutoring because I get to know families as well as students, and let me tell you, the families in Redding are awesome! Seeing students grow throughout the school year is always a highlight as well. I love seeing them grow in the subject we're working on, as well as coach them in things like organization and time-management. I believe instilling these certain skills is vital in preparing them for whatever their future holds, and I enjoy helping them with that through tutoring. Thank you to Tutor Doctor and Bridgette and Andrew Jacobsen for giving me the opportunity to work with these awesome students! Working with you has been an absolute pleasure :)." – Mallory Cunningham
This month we want to celebrate our tutor, John Arnold. John always goes above and beyond for his students. He's met with kid's teachers, scheduled extra sessions for kids in need, and consistently helps students achieve the results and understanding they're looking for. This is John's second year serving Grant School kids at their Math lab and the principal, Mrs. Sutter tells us he's doing a great job there.
Here is what John has to say about Tutor Doctor:
"I have worked for Tutor Doctor about 2 ½ years. I feel fortunate to be part of the Tutor Doctor team. Their ability to match students to the correct tutor is a unique talent. Being able to bond with the student over common interests is important as it helps the students develop trust in the tutor. Being part of the Tutor Doctor team is a fulfilling experience when the student obtains a better understanding of the subject, while also developing a greater self-esteem."- John Arnold
We have many amazing tutors at Tutor Doctor Redding. Dan Peterson is one of the best! Students and parents appreciate his attention to detail, ability to connect with students and help them achieve results. Once a student begins working with Dan, they never want to leave him. Here's a short blurb from Dan to share his Tutor Doctor story.
"In a career transition, and looking to supplement my substitute teacher income, in March 2017 I got hired as a tutor by Tutor Doctor. Now two and a half years later, I am still here. I tutor in order to help students - to help them overcome lack of confidence; and gain skills, knowledge, and understanding to be more successful. I have the honor of witnessing and being part of some of the successes in their life. Tutoring also gives me the opportunity to meet new people - the students and their families. Not only do I get to help my students, but I also learn from them and am able to increase my teaching knowledge and improve my own teaching skills. Tutor Doctor Redding is a great company to tutor for. Bridgette and Andrew are encouraging, supportive, and flexible. I also appreciate the Tutor Doctor model, which connects me as a tutor with the right students, allowing me to focus on tutoring." -Dan Peterson
