Meet Dayna - Director of Education/Education Consultant

Dayna My name is Dayna, and I am an Ontario certified teacher who really cares about my students. With "respect" as the foundation for my classes, I enjoy getting to know my students so that I can provide the best learning experience possible for them. I like to bring "play" into my classroom so that we can learn concepts while also "doing" and having fun. In my spare time, I enjoy creating original embroidered pieces as gifts for friends and family. Additionally I love being outside in nature, going on walks, swimming, and tending to my vegetable garden. Although I don't consider myself to be athletic, I enjoy going for outdoor runs and practicing yoga. I am a visual, auditory and kinesthetic learner which means that seeing examples of things helps me to understand. How do you learn best?

En plus, je peux parler français car c'est ma langue seconde.

My certifications include a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Drama in Education and Community with a Minor in French Studies from The University of Windsor, a Bachelor of Education with Drama and French teachable subjects. As well, I have my certificate in International Baccalaureate: Teaching and Learning for Diploma Program – Theatre.

I am looking forward to getting to know you!

Meet David Bell – Teacher Education Program -OttawaUDavid

My name is David Bell! I am 21 years old and I'm from Renfrew County! I am very passionate about science and nature! I spend as much of my free time outdoors as possible, hiking, canoeing, and camping! When I'm not outside I'm likely playing or listening to music. I play guitar and harmonica, usually at the same time! I also collect vinyl records.

Although I am new to tutoring, I have spent considerable time working with students in several programs, including the Peer Assisted Study Sessions and Bounce Back programs at Carleton University. In these roles I worked one-on-one with students to help improve their understanding of content, as well as study skills! I am pursuing education and currently enrolled in the Teacher Education program at the University of Ottawa.

In my undergraduate degree I majored in geology, so I am very comfortable with science and math subjects. I can tutor in chemistry, biology, and physics, as well as mathematics.

I have decided to enter tutoring because I find working with students extremely rewarding. I take pride in facilitating someone's growth and success. I am excited to learn about how I can help you!
