Summer Reading Challenge!
Summer is a great opportunity to help your students stay on track or even get ahead. Research has shown that over the summer, most students lose 20-30% of the academic gains they made over the previous school year – and this learning loss is expected to increase due to recent school closures.
Reading over the summer is a great way for kids to keep up their reading skills, which is why we are running our Summer Reading Challenge!
How does the challenge work?
- Decide which books you would like to read from our Recommended Reading List below
- Fill out the worksheet, answering 4 questions about each book you have read. Access the worksheet here and complete before August 12, 2022.
- You will be entered into a prize draw with the chance of winning a $100 Amazon Gift Card.
Summer Reading Booklist
Book list by Age Group
Summer is a great time for students to keep on top of reading and comprehension skills, ready for the new school year. Below is a list of books your student can chose from for ages 3 -18.
The books your child would like to read may be available at your local library, your local bookshop or you can find new or used copies online such as on Amazon. If there is a book your child would like to read that is not on our list, they are more than welcome to read it for our challenge!
Have a happy summer and we hope you enjoy our Summer Reading Challenge!
