Supporting our Fort Lauderdale Community
At Tutor Doctor South Fort Lauderdale, we are a locally owned, family business and we are part of the community. In addition to personalized math, science, ELA, phonics, speech and SAT/ACT tutoring services in Fort Lauderdale, we also work with local schools to help our community. Where we can directly support school programs and facilities for students and staff and demonstrate our interest in providing a strong foundation of excellence for students in our community. We support and enhance learning and education in all forms.
We are proud to have supported some local schools and local community neighborhoods. Here are just a couple elementary schools in Fort Lauderdale and surrounding regions we recently visited.
Christmas Near The Beach, Hollywood, Florida
Tutor Doctor South Fort Lauderdale will be joining the Hollywood, Florida
Festivities this year! Christmas Near the Beach is your hometown Christmas.
For the past 15 years they’ve celebrated the wonder of Christmas
with the community creating a holiday tradition.
The festival marks a beautiful time where family and friends gather making
memories for a lifetime. The joy of seeing Santa, singing Christmas carols,
listening to holiday music, and eating tasty treats combined with the
pure love of Christmas make this festival a nostalgic and heartfelt experience.
Community means celebrating together! Our hope is you will bring this
tradition into your family’s life, for a lifetime. Generations to
come will remember the joy of welcoming the Christmas season at the Arts
Park in Downtown Hollywood. Christmas Near the Beach features local artist,
bands, and dancers. The “Night Market” is designed to bring
local businesses together for your holiday shopping. Children of all ages
will be dazzled by the 40-foot Christmas tree, a visit with Santa and
the opportunity to whisper those sweet secrets to the jolly ole man. There’s
no snow here, but Christmas Near the Beach visitors will find themselves
in love with Hollywood! Trust us, you’ll be back each year to discover
more and more to love about Hollywood, Florida!

Christmas Near the Beach is where South Florida Celebrates Christmas!
Peter’s Elementary School in Plantation, Florida
Purchasing necessary school supplies for the kids of the school and dropping
off some fun stress balls in the shape of brains to promote Kinesthetic
and tactile learning. We hung our one-to-one personalized tutoring banner
with pride.
Peter’s Elementary is an amazing educational school from VPK - 5, covering kindergarten and elementary school grades, with an active and supportive PTA.
Beachside Montessori Village School in Hollywood, Florida
We recently posted a challenge for those in the community to nominate their
deserving school for recognition during Teachers Appreciation Week. Beachside
Montessori Village won, so in return, we “Stocked the Fridge”
for teachers and staff to show our appreciation for all they do every
day to grow, coach, mentor, educate, tutor, and guide the students.
Beachside Montessori Village is an amazing educational school from VPK - 8, covering elementary and middle school grades, plus exceptional student learning support.
Slow Down Signage
We recently ran a support campaign to give away “Slow Down Children
At Play” signage in our local neighborhoods.

Community Events
We had a blast participating in the Broward Mom Collective Grand Opening Event on June 30 from 5-8pm at Calvary Christian Academy in Hollywood, Florida. It was a fun-filled evening with community leaders, local businesses, and moms throughout all of Broward County. We had some enjoyable activities for the kids, giveaways and raffles including local restaurants (some healthy choices), summer kids camps, and cash gift cards.

Stoneman Douglas Auditorium, 5901 Pine Island Road, Parkland FL 33076, US. This meeting
was filled with useful Back-to-School 2021 information applicable to all
of Broward County. We heard directly for the Parkland School Principals,
Superintendent Dr. Vickie Cartwright, Mayor Rich Walker, and School Board
Member Lori Alhadeff on topics of School safety, local business support
and involvement, FSA testing updates, vaccination and quarantine expectations,
social distancing commitments and mask policy, status of after school
activities, plus mental health and critical race theory status.
NOVA Southeastern University, Recruit a Shark Event.
We met so many amazing college undergraduate and graduate student rockstars that want to make a difference in a child’s life and have a passion for teaching and tutoring. We know met some great achievers that are going to be a perfect match for our students.
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month Event
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), is an annual international
health campaign organized by major
breast cancer charities every October to increase
awareness of the disease and to
raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
We spent the day with the Plantation Chamber of Commerce; presented by Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. It was a wonderful and educational day with so many to support the awareness of breast cancer. It was inspiring to see the strength so many have had to fight and survive this battle and those that do so much to support them. You are a roles models to everyone.
2021 Family Halloween & Safety Event
Thank you to everyone that came out to meet Tutor Doctor South Fort Lauderdale at Volunteer Park in Plantation on October 16th. We met so many wonderful people from all over Broward County and had a blast making hand trees for the Fall. We look forward to connecting with you again soon. Thank you to the Plantation Chamber of Commerce and the City of Plantation for pulling together a wonderful event.
