Daphne Engelken – Franchise Owner & Education Consultant
Daphne Engelken is a California native with diverse experience in sales, business development and fundraising. A professional business woman for more than 30 years, she has been recognized often for her accomplishments, receiving several management and leadership awards. Her schooling focused on performance arts and language. She is the proud recipient of SVBWN’s scholarship award of Salinas Valleys’ Leadership Program and graduated in 2014 with Class 32.
She has served on the board of Salinas Valley Business Women’s Network and volunteered with local nonprofits as Rancho Cielo Youth Campus, Drummond Culinary Academy, Impower, and Junior Achievement for Financial Literacy .She’s partnered with Salinas Chamber of Commerce, PWN of Monterey, been a Cheer MOM with the SHS Cheer Organization, and a member of the Boosters Club of Salinas High School.
Presently she is an executive member of the Parent Advisory Council for Chico State University, where she now serves as President. An advocate for humanitarian and environmental causes, she is no stranger to media exposure and bold street campaigns. She has completed her training with the Tri-County Crisis and Suicide Prevention Service. Her interests include travel, yoga, hiking and culinary arts. Daphne has owned Tutor Doctor of the Central Coast for close to 10 years.
