Information About the SAT® Exam
SAT® exam is one of the most important exams a student will take in his or
her academic career. It is a test that measures an individual’s
literary, writing, and mathematical skills. Colleges and universities
use the scores as a way to determine whether applicants are ready for
higher education. The exam consists of four sections – Reading,
Writing & Language, Math (with calculator), and Math (with no calculator).
Students are scored on a scale of
400-1600 points.Learn more and find the date for the next SAT® Exam.
Information About the ACT
Formerly known as the American College Testing exam, the ACT was created
by Professor Everett Franklin Lindquist, in direct response to the SAT®s. He believed the latter test failed to adequately assess a student’s
learning capacity and knowledge. The ACT consists of four sections including
English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning, with an optional Essay
section. After each section is marked, the grades are averaged together
to create a composite score, which includes a scale from
1 to 36 points.

Which Exam Is Right For You?
There is a common misunderstanding that the ACT is easier than the SAT® exam. The truth is, different students respond differently to the two
tests. The primary difference is the ACT includes a Science Reasoning
section, while the SAT® exam has a Math section that does not allow calculator use. Additionally, the SAT® exam does penalize test-takers for answering incorrectly.
Students are welcome to take both exams as many times as they choose. However,
we understand that given the time, money, and stress associated with the
exams, you’d rather streamline the process. Our skilled private
tutors can help counsel you on which exam is best suited for your learning
style and how often you should take it.
